It’s been less than three months since Andy Murray officially retired from tennis, but he hasn’t wasted any time in his new life.
The tennis legend has taken up golf and has already competed in several tournaments as he gets to grips with a sport he has always loved but now has more time than ever to play.
Of course, Murray retired as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, with his record on the court speaking for itself. Over the course of his career, he won 46 titles, including two Wimbledon and one US Open championship, as well as three Olympic medals.
But away from the court, the Scot is also a family man and now spends more time with his wife Kim and their four children. Here’s a look at their exciting new life.

New life after tennis
Since leaving the Olympics at the beginning of August, the Scot has honed his skills on the golf course with the aim of achieving a scratch handicap. He even updated his Twitter profile to reflect the new chapter in his life, changing it from “I play tennis” to “I played tennis.” I’m playing golf now.’
Currently playing off a handicap of seven, Murray made his debut at the prestigious BMW PGA Championship’s Pro-Am at Wentworth last month, before taking part in the inaugural BTJA Mike Dickson Golf Day at Hanbury Manor Golf Club in Hertfordshire.]
The special event was founded by the British Tennis Journalists’ Association in honor of former Daily Mail journalist Mike Dickson, who died in January aged 59, and Murray was named the day’s winner.
Scottish golfer Robert MacIntyre played alongside the former tennis great at Wentworth and was impressed with what he saw, as he said: “For someone who hasn’t played that much I thought he was good. I was very impressed of his game. He”I’ll be scratch in no time.”
Murray said of competing in golf tournaments: “It’s a different kind of nerves because you’re comfortable in the type of tennis environment. I don’t think I’ll go on the court and forget how to play.” hit the ball.
“While there are people standing here five yards away from where I’m driving, and I’m thinking, I’m useless in this game. You just want to try to keep the ball in play and not mess up too much.”

When asked about his retirement plans earlier this year, Murray said: “I don’t know exactly what the rest of my life will look like, but I will still keep in touch with the sport. Initially I want to be at home with my I want to spend a lot of time with my kids and my wife, so I won’t be on the road much, I know that.”
“I’m going to play a lot of golf,” he added. “I want to be a scratch golfer. I have always loved playing golf, but because of the problems with my back I haven’t played for five or six years. Marriage to Kim and a foul-mouthed outburst
Murray has been married to Kim Sears – the daughter of tennis coach Nigel Sears – since 2015, after they met at a party during the US Open ten years earlier.

However, the pair were able to laugh about it later when Kim showed up at the men’s final wearing a T-shirt that read ‘Parental Advisory: Explicit Content’. Meanwhile, after receiving a knighthood in the Queen’s New Year Honors the following year, Murray joked that his wife would have to watch her language if she became a Dame, laughing: “She’ll have to [do] I don’t have to curse during my matches anymore, for those of you who saw that a few years ago.”
Net worth
One of the most successful players of all time, Murray has collected more than £50 million in prize money during his illustrious career alone.
These profits are backed by his significant income through endorsement deals and sponsorship partnerships, with big names such as Jaguar, Castore, Under Armor and Head all working with the tennis great. Over the years, he has also worked with other major brands such as Amazon Prime Video, Standard Life and American Express.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, these deals and winnings mean he has an estimated net worth of approx £85 million, although some sources suggest it could be closer to £100 million.
As well as the hotel he owns with Kim, Murray has also splurged on other properties including a £5million mansion in Surrey and a luxury flat in Miami.
