Filming is now underway in New York City on the third season of the Sex and the City spin-off And Just Like That… The three leads – Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Kristin Davis as Charlotte York and Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes – are all back for a third outing on the hit HBO Max show, and several cast members have already been photographed filming in Manhattan. Sarita Choudhary as Seema Patel and Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley are also returning.
As with the original Sex and the City series and films, fashion plays a major role in And Just Like That. The spinoff’s first two seasons saw the return of a number of recognizable pieces from the original series, including many of Bradshaw’s style signatures – like her Manolo Blahnik heels and Fendi Baguette bag – alongside new cult finds (JW Anderson pigeon clutch, anyone?).
And Just Like That costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago explained that Carrie would be re-wearing pieces from her famous wardrobe, as well as adopting many vintage finds, as a reflection of the times and the fashion industry’s renewed focus on sustainability. “Carrie is one of those people who likes to go on adventures or sniff out something that she hasn’t worn in a while and re-wear it,” Rogers noted. “When you’re at all aware of what’s going on in the world, you want to give back in some way. Even the characters on the show are in that frame of mind. We try to repurpose pieces from SJ’s archives at key moments when they meant something, because we wanted to honor them.” Even Carrie’s famous Vivienne Westwood wedding dress made a comeback in season two.

The actress showed off some of that romantic Carrie Bradshaw style in a gorgeous pale pink Simone Rocha dress, paired with a matching coat and nude Aquazzura sandals.
The dress and jacket featured 3D flowers in the sheer material.
Carrie’s colorful, casual daywear consisted of a sky blue top, peach pants, and strappy Aquazzura sandals with pink lenses.
Kristin Davis was photographed filming in Central Park with Nicole Ari Parker. Davis wore a typically prim Charlotte look in the form of a tweed pencil skirt and a pleated top, while Parker paired a vintage Dior blouse with leather shorts and Saint Laurent stiletto heels. Both actresses also wore statement sunglasses with chunky frames.
The pair then filmed another scene together, in brightly colored sportswear.
Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted shooting with Sarita Choudary in Washington Square Park. Parker wore a multi-colored Ossie Clark dress with a huge Maryam Keyhani hat and Dr. Scholls slides. Choudary’s Seema was more demure in a neutral halter top and baggy mink pants.
Kristin Davis filmed scenes with Charlotte’s British bulldog, Richard Burton, who wore a navy knit top, tight pants and open-heeled kitten heels.
For her first day of filming, Sarah Jessica Parker stepped out as Carrie in a mint green vintage Yves Saint Laurent blouse, a flowy pink vintage Gucci skirt, and Aquazzura sling-back heels. She also carried a bejeweled Gucci bag.
The actress was filmed during scenes with Alexa Swinton and Cathy Ang – who play Charlotte’s daughters Rock and Lily – all dressed in cheerful candy-coloured looks.
