Home Bargains issues ‘do not use’ warning as eight separate items are recalled

Shoppers are being urged to return a number of products they bought from Home Bargains. The retailer has issued active product recall warnings for eight items, including food and beauty products, and anyone who bought them is being asked not to use them.

You can return these items to get a full refund. If a product is recalled for any reason, the FSA will share details about why this has happened and what you should do if you bought it.

A convection heater has been recalled due to a fire hazard and some food and drink items have been contaminated or contain unknown allergens. Below is a list of the recalled products and the detailed reasons, compiled by the Liverpool Echo.

Optivive Allergy Eye Mist – Soothing 10ml

Expiry dates: 02/2026 and 04/2026. Em Pharma is recalling Optivive Allergy Eye Mist as a precaution due to possible contamination. The store advises that if you have purchased the product, you should stop using it immediately.

If you feel unwell, for example with symptoms of an eye infection such as decreased vision or a red and painful eye, you should contact a healthcare professional and tell them that you have used a recalled eye mist.

Please verify that you purchased the affected expiration date codes by taking a photo of this notice or writing down the expiration date at home for reference. No other products or codes are affected.

TJ Morris Ltd is recalling ‘My First Drop and Roll Tower’ sold through Home Bargains stores, website and Quality Save stores due to a potential choking hazard. The rattling balls are smaller than the standard required and a young child could put the small ball in their mouth and choke.

What to do: If you purchased the toy as described above, DO NOT USE IT. Instead: Return it to your local Home Bargains or Quality Save store for a full refund. All batch codes are affected.

TJ Morris Ltd is recalling the PIFCO Convector Heater with Turbo and Timer sold through Home Bargains and Quality Save stores between 1st November 2023 and 12th December 2023 due to a risk of overheating and fire due to an incorrect fuse size in some heaters.
