Chelsea stormed to a big win over Everton at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening in the Premier League. Cole Palmer continued his excellent form by finding the back of the net four times, while Nicolas Jackson and Alfie Gilchrist were also on target.

The Blues had a number of key players absent, but this was hardly noticed as Chelsea put in such a dominant performance. Axel Disasi, Enzo Fernandez and Raheem Sterling were all missing from the matchday squad, but there are hopes the trio will feature again against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend.

Noni Madueke has also given Mauricio Pochettino another injury after hobbling off, but it doesn’t appear to be anything major. That being said, football.london checked out Chelsea’s latest injury news before they head to Wembley to take on Man City.

Noni Madueke

Noni Madueke was withdrawn in the 72nd minute against Everton after coming on the end of a number of strong challenges that saw him need to be seen by club physios. Despite having his number on display, Madueke appeared to be trying to signal to the bench that he was still fine to continue despite coming off worse for wear from one of those challenges.

When replaced by Carney Chukwuemeka, Madueke went straight into the tunnel but later returned to watch the final minutes from the bench.

Possible return date: Manchester City (N) – FA Cup Semi-Final – April 20.

Possible return date: Returned

“That setback did not happen. I have no information about that. He is recovering and it took longer than we expected. That was after the final, he played 30 or 40 minutes. We did not know the problem and we have found it after the match.

“Circumstances like this affect a lot of things, too many players have suffered this season. I hope he can be involved again in the team dynamics as soon as possible and of course, if he has to be really good for that.” At the end of the season I hope he can be part of the team.”
