What is Black Friday?
Black Friday started in the US as the main sales day after Thanksgiving, first arriving in Britain in 2010. It’s now one of the biggest sales events of the year, alongside Amazon Prime Day and the January sales.
Most fashion brands and retailers offer discounts on full-price items for at least 24 hours on Black Friday itself, but it’s common for the sale to start about a week before the big day. The deals usually continue through Cyber Weekend and into Cyber Monday, the first Monday after Black Friday.
When is Black Friday 2023?
Black Friday falls in 2023 Friday November 24th. It always takes place on the fourth Friday in November, after Thanksgiving. However, the deals start running the week before or even earlier in the month and last through Cyber Monday, which this year falls on Monday, November 27.
